Fernando The Flamingo
Fernando is the nickname of a semi-wild flamingo that hangs around the southern part of the San Francisco Bay. No one really knows where it came from, but it is usually spotted more than a half mile from shore. We were surprised to see it about 75 yards from the Bay View trail, in shallow water, by a small beach I was lucky enough to get a few good shots and this was one of them.
