St Malachy's Catholic Church on 49th St in Manhattan's Theater District.The black trimmed and limestone Gothic church was constructed in 1910 and completed in 1920.The church had a chapel in the basement that was called then the Actors Chapel where many Broadway actors, dancers,and musicians once worshipped.Many celebrities worshipped here in the past like Bob and Delores Hope,Spencer Tracy,Perry Como,Danny Thomas,Florence Henderson,and Grégory Peck.Rudolph Valentino and Tennessee Williams funerals were held here.Douglas Fairbanks Jr marriage to Joan Crawford was also held at the church.
