Larry's rose
Sorry, but I'm getting a little choked up as I'm sharing this picture š¢.I personally didn't know Larry John, but to those who did I share in their grief, pain, and sorrow for him.
The rose seen here, strangely enough, was the only flower I saw lying on the bronze parapet at the 9-11 Memorial. The parapet is on one of two huge, squarish reflecting pools at the site, and inscribed on it are some of the names of those who tragically died on 9-11.The Memorial is located just outside of the new One World Trade Center tower.I also visited the newly built transportation hub called The Oculus, the same day.All three places are in close proximity of each another.
Once, you had to pay to see the 9-11 Memorial and wait on a very long line, there were also check points if I recall. Now,you can walk directly to the memorial from the street.I didn't visit the museum part of the Memorial, located underground.Thank you all so much for your gracious comments and favorites, have a great day.
