Aurora Borealis in Spring
I had thought we had seen the last of the northern lights for the season, as we are rapidly nearing the midnight sun. The darkest we get right now is dusk. Imagine my surprise then, when I looked out the window on my way to bed at 1.30 am, only to see something faintly green chasing over the sky. I opened my window to enjoy the sight, and thought I would see if I could catch it with my camera. This photo is taken out my living room window, I had no chance for putting up my tripod, so this is handheld, which is why it is not quite as crispy as it could have been. I have never seen the aurora so colourful here before, nor against such a light sky.
