Manchester Air & Space Gallery

Part of the Manchester Science and Industry Museum and located next to the oldest passenger railway station in the world.
The aircraft museum is a self contained unit in an old market hall. Space is very tight and photography is not very easy due to the number of aircraft and the supporting pillars.
The main topic is Avro who were based in and around the Manchester area.
A full day can be spent investigating the history of the industries based in Manchester from cotton to computers, from steam engines to gas lighting.
