Midland Air Museum, Baginton (Coventry Airport)

The Midland Aircraft Preservation Society (MAPS) was formed in Coventry in 1967. I have fond memories of helping to preserve the airframes which were stored in an assortment of borrowed buildings. I moved to Bristol in the mid 70s and my membership lapsed. Little did I foresee the excellent collection that now resides in the Midland Air Museum'
The museum is housed just across the airfield from the site of the old Armstrong Whitworth factory and has an excellent collection of locally produced aircraft and memorabilia.
