Brussels Aircraft Museum, Parc du Cinquantaire

by Ray's Hobby Photos

The museum is housed in one of two exhibition halls built to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Belgian independence in 1880. It is part of the Royal Museum of Armed Forces and opposite an equally impressive automobile museum.
Located in a large park near the centre of Brussels and served by the underground railway from Brussels Central Station.
An amazing selection of aircraft are on display with a Caravelle airliner dominating one end of the hall. Several rare British aircraft are included in the collection including a Fairey Battle, Airspeed Oxford and a Sopwith One and Half Strutter.
Considering the density of the aircraft photography is quite easy with plenty of light and the top gallery provides a good view of the aircraft below.
