Abbaye de Sènanque

The Romanesque Cistercian Monastery of Sènanque was built in the 12th century and lies deep in a valley north of Gordes in the Vaucluse mountains. In the summer to lavender bloom it forms with its classical and strict architecture a harmonious contrast in the landscape.
