Dipladenia is the popular name used to refer to some species of creepers of the genus Mandevilla, usually with ascending growth of the branches.
They have very ornamental flowering, with trumpet -shaped flowers and often with the inner part yellow. Some species may have white, rosy, yellow and red flowers, but the most cultivated and marketed variety, has rose-red flowers (Mandevilla x amabillis).
Most species are native to South America, developing better in hot climates to mild, but are sensitive to intense cold.
They are a success in landscape use, usually very rustic and flourish since young. It has delicate branch and slightly dense foliage, being ideal in trusses, bows, fences, columns and pergolas. It can be grown in vases and gardeners as long as it has support.
