- Mesmerizing pink - (1)

The "Jambeiros" are beautiful Malaysian trees, but they have acclimated so well to the conditions of the American tropics that they seem native to the land. In the North, Northeast and Southeast of Brazil, an orchard without at least one "Jambo" tree is rare.

The best known among them, the red jambo, or pink jambo (Eugenia malaccensis), is born in large trees, also with large leaves, whose crown has a pyramidal shape. This jambeiro, extremely ornamental, offers, at the same time, beauty, good shade and sweet fruits to the lucky ones who know and can dispose of it.

Its many flowers, beautiful and colorful with pink and lilac, when they fall form under the trees a carpet of beautiful effect.

The fruits, red on the outside and white on the inside, have a sweet taste reminiscent of pears but with a strong flower scent.

This picture is not as sharp as I would like, but the compact shade of the tree and the fact that the flower comes straight from the trunk made perfect exposure even at higher ISO difficult.
