Poinsettia (Euphorbia pulcherrima) use to bloom in the Northern Hemisphere during the winter, and is known as Christmas flower.

In the Southern Hemisphere (or in countries with a hot climate) it usually blooms during the winter, and grows in the soil much more, forming a bush which reaches until 3meters of height.
