- Lago di Como - (5)
According to Wikipedia, Lago di Como is the third largest lake in Italy.
With a size of 146km² in the shape of an inverted Y, it has around its two arms and full extension 32 small towns, extremely charming with its mansions of spectacular architecture, beautiful churches, relaxing parks full of flowers.
A place that deserves alone at least a month to be fully explored, not a couple of days.
Because of that the photos that I will present are of the cities in the greater part of the Y, but almost all taken from the boat. I only had the opportunity to be in Como, Bellagio, and Tremezzo with its magnificent Villa Carlota.
I can not tell which photos belong to which commune given the impossibility of taking notes on the boat. These are the first, others will come more specifically from the places where I stopped.
Here the famous Villa del Balbianello in the comune of Lenno.
It's so famous and was used as scenery in some movies, like "Casino Royale" ;)
