- After the rain - (2)

Hibiscus tiliaceus, native from India

Algodoeiro da Praia/ Algodoeiro da India

The Flamengo Park was entirely built (in 1965) on a earthed area of the bay. On this landfill the famous landscape architect Burle Marx envisioned a huge garden with trees from various parts of Brazil and other countries, especially of some asian countries with similar climate.

The park is therefore between the Flamengo Beach and buildings, a nice area with great visual impact, with the Sugar Loaf at the side, and the city of Niterói across the bay.

Several points of 295 acres of Flamengo Park are daily covered by these beautiful flowers.

With the rain and reflections on the puddles, the pathway wins (in my opinion) a greater charm.
