This cat's name is Alera and his human is a friend of mine, Thomas, who also is the photographer of this exquisite photo.
Alera is no longer with us, but he gave him much love. He rescued him off the streets in Malaysia where he could barely walk and was crippled in the back legs. Thomas nursed him back to health and what was once a disheveled, dirty and homeless kitten became a beautiful and loving cat who brought much joy to Thomas's life as well as a host of people from all over the world.
In this photo, Alera's eyes stand out and the narrow depth of field blurs the background making both Alera and his eyes stand out.

I'm not sure the age of Blue, but he looks like he's wise beyond his years. Also it seems as if he is staring right through whoever is looking at him.
The texture and color of the fur up against the green eyes is beautiful. And I like the fact that you can see the patterns of the color in the iris itself, along with a very faint showing of yellow.
Linda Schodowsky says:
There is nothing like experiencing unconditional love from an animal. Eddie's eyes show a peaceful and understanding trust and love for his human. Sadly, Eddie passed away recently from a long battle with Kidney disease. But he understood that he was sick and his human did everything he could to make sure he had a happy 'rest of his life' before he departed for the Rainbow Bridge. The expression I see her is one of gratefulness and a silent understanding that his human loves him dearly and is trying his best to keep him happy.
May you RIP, dear Eddie.

The title of this pic says it all. I'm glad that the photographer has an understanding of this. This dear cat has a sadness to his eyes. Almost as if he/she is longing for a hug, love, and a forever home. I decided on that before I looked at the pics tags and see that it is indeed a homeless cat. I hope that this cat knows what it's like to be loved, and hopefully in a forever home by now.
Nothing here yet.
