The spring-fed ponds were a place that sins might be washed away. No one seemed in need of purifying ablution on the day of our visit however. I did think Mark (Coco) Crampton's thoughts were less than pure though. Coco had med a young lady from Sydney who we nicknamed 'Splinter' on account of her slight physique. He was doing his level best to charm her but unfortunately for Coco, Splinter was far more interested in Made.

The tree growing on the platform, with its roots cascading towards the water, was a pipal tree (Ficus religiosa). These trees are often planted in Hindu and Buddhist temples as they are highly significant to people of both faiths. Buddhists believe that it is the tree under which Buddha was meditating when he reached enlightenment.
