Split Second Drop Off
On my 5th day of observation, I saw a parent kite fly to the feeding tree with a cicada but there were no babies waiting for snacks. The parent took off again just as Brother arrived. Brother was too late; the parent flew off with food still clutched in one foot. Hopefully life lesson learned, you snooze, you lose.
