The Arabian Desert is a vast desert wilderness stretching from Yemen to the Persian Gulf and Oman to Jordan and Iraq. It occupies most of the Arabian Peninsula with an area of 2,330,000 square kilometers (900,000 mi²). The flat, sandy Arabian Desert covers most of Kuwait. The climate is extremely dry, and temperatures oscillate between extreme heat and seasonal night time freezes.

One of the main reasons I moved to Middle East was my love for desert. I knew from the beginning that Kuwait wont present me with over 100 meters high sand dunes which you can find in other countries of Arabian Peninsula, however Kuwait is a great base to travel to those countries. I have heard occasional remark that you can find some nice dunes also in Kuwait. It took me over 2.5 years to see such a place, but better later than never. This was one of few more trips we made to desert and this time I made sure I have the right person in traditional dress with me too... so I'm having a break in mysterious women series and I'm introducing mysterious man !
