MV Salish is a Kwa-di Tabil-class ferry built at Todd Pacific Shipyards in Seattle, Washington for the Washington State Ferries. The vessel was put into service on July 1, 2011.
“Multiple teams are working to get the Salish repaired as quickly as possible,” said Ian Sterling, public information officer for WSF. “It has extensive damage from crab pot lines, plus propeller and rudder damage from its grounding.”
