Fidalgo Bay.
General Construction Company's 300 Ton Capacity Floating Crane.
"Work on a huge dock framework built by T Bailey Inc. should be completed soon. The framework will be barged next week to Martinez, California, where a wharf serving the Tesoro Golden Eagle Refinery is being rebuilt. The massive rectangular framework is about 180 feet long and 150 feet wide. The four main forms are built with steel pipe 5 feet in diameter, and the largest weighs about 330,000 pounds. Adding to the complexity of the job was the challenge of moving the framework off the MJB property near 22nd Street and R Avenue and onto a barge for its trip south. That work is expected to start Monday."
