Zinnia Oliveros is the creative individualist behind Athena Goddess Jewelry & Beads.

In 2008, Zinnia met two ladies at a local Boosters Club from the high school where her son played footbal, who introduced her to the world of beading and jewelry making. One wild night after consuming some much needed wine, they decided to go into business with each other. Zinnia had some extra space at her already established bookkeeping firm in Burbank, California so the three crazy ladies opened a little 100 square foot shop. The business had such an fantastic response that they ended up tearing down a wall to turn their little shop into a 400 square foot store.

The store was filled up with precious and semi-precious stones, freshwater pearls, Swarovski crystals, tools and materials to create beautiful hand-made jewelry. Each one of the ladies had their own creativity to show so there were a wide variety of custom made necklaces, bracelets and earrings. With an eye for detail, these ladies were also very selective with their tools and materials. After two years of being in business together, Zinnia took over the store completely and made it her responsibility to keep it open.

Zinnia travels to Tucson, Arizona every year to attend one of the largest beading and jewelry trade-show. She would look for the most amazing stones and findings at the best price possible to bring back to the store. In August 2012 after much consideration, Zinnia closed her retail store and built a website so that her customers can continue to get what they need to create beautiful jewelry.
