My name is Michael; I am 46 years old and from Denmark.

I am here to connect to friends and new people, find inspiration and share my best pictures.

Also I am open for critique and discussion related to photography.

I have been taking photographs for nearly 40 years, starting out with my mum’s Minolta 35 rangefinder film camera. Later I got a Yashica rangefinder camera and then my first SLR the, Nikon EM.

The year after I got Nikon FE and then the legendary Nikon F3T with the enormous high speed motor drive, which undoubtedly is the most robust camera I ever had.

In the early nineties I sold all my Nikon equipment after it had been on a long hard trip through Africa. I switched to the ‘enemy’ Canon, which at that time had a much faster autofocus system (they still do) and bought the Canon EOS 630, then the EOS 10 and finely EOS 5, which had the amazing eye-controlled focusing.

In the year 2000 I got the Canon EOS D30 with the mind-blowing 3.1-megapixel! Then it was a truly amazing camera, but today it is not quite as interesting. ;-)

I moved on to the EOS 30D and lately a dream came true and I got the remarkable fullframe EOS 5D mk. II.

In the early eighties I worked part-time as a photographer for a small newspaper, and had my own darkroom. I shot most sports, but also all kind of other tasks.

I have traveled a lot and still do to some degree and I love to photograph in new exciting surroundings.

I've also been involved in wedding and party photography, plant, portraits and more recently architectural photography.

I’m new here at Flickr and get a lot of inspiration by other contacts. I am not interested in contacts that are not prepared to visit and leave a comment now and again, and it doesn’t have to be positive, constructive criticism is fine too and it may help me to improve.

Thank you for stopping by.

-- Michael.
