Photography is more than taking pictures to me. A never ending creative process which also includes learning beyond the art of photography. Technically interested as well as interested in art in a broader sense.
Sharing some of my photos and study other photographers work is an important part, but i'm an occasional 'flickerite'. I'm here when time allows me to. Suffering from panic attacks, most of my photos are created in or nearby my home because of a limited action radius.
I shoot RAW+JPEG. In the best of world I get a decent JPEG out of the camera (sooc) to avoid post processing, which is basically restricted to cropping, contrast adjustments and sharpening if nothing else is written in description or obvious (like copyright symbols, borders and text). I use my camera and no, I don't use any filters in post, that's kind of blasphemy to me. Yet I can appreciate others work with filters a lot, it's just a tool to produce a picture. Like a camera in fact - the photo is not and never has been... ... the reality.
Photography has become a way to express myself, let alone the authentic interest in the art of photography. Because of many years of severe anxiety I am retired, hence I've got something that is considered by many as a luxury today: time. Some might consider it as a benefit from decease and they are actually right - I do have time that most ppl only can dream of. A luxury I would give away without hesitation seven days a week if I were to be excused from my prison.
With that said, I still hope that my photos are looked at for what they are. They are photos. No more, no less.
