My name is Nicolas. I am French. I love the arts. I love words. I am gay.

A self-taught photographer, my choice of subjects is eclectic but guided by the tension between the documentary and the artistic. With an eye for the quirky detail, I strive to harness this tension harmoniously to create images that are both striking and beautiful.

I am a society photographer for a number of clubs in London. I’m as comfortable shooting in huge venues, such as Ministry of Sound, Infernos, the Troxy or the Electric Brixton, as I am in more intimate basement clubs in Dalston or busy bars in Soho. I was a regular contributor to QX Magazine between 2015 and the time of its closure in 2020.

I have been photographing conference-style events for LGBT History Month for some years now.

I am open to all types of work and am very competitively priced.

I am a member of the Gay Photographers Network and of the Royal Photographic Society.

Some of my images are held in the collections of the Black Cultural Archives, and the Orange County Regional History Center.

Pics in the stream were taken with a Fujifilm FinePix 2800 Zoom, Samsung S760, Canon 450D, Canon 70D cameras and Sony Ericson K750, K750i, and C902, iPhone 4 and Galaxy Note 4 cameraphones.

Some of my images are available for licensing via Alamy and through SWNS news agency.

Find me on Twitter, on Instagram here and here (IG-created content) and you can like my pages on Facebook and of course on my website: www.zefrographica.co.uk.
