Description:
Two Years back my brother told me to join this website that is about sharing photographs, and I looked at him and said “metfaayeg” lol after repeating this scenario I decided to give it a shot and see what’s in this site that made him tell me to join.
In the beginning, I wasn’t into photography; I used my mothers Canon Powershot A75 a simple point and shoot camera with basic semi manual control. My target then was to share my daily life activities, and I focused on capturing moments from my perspective. Until summer 2005 my brother wanted to buy a camera for his birthday, so pushed my nose in the topic and got me a copy. It was the Canon Powershot S2 IS. This camera was a dream comes true for me! The lens was big it had a 0.5 second startup with 12X optical zoom. That was the period that I started to see the world from a different angel, and focused on capturing my activities with an artistic touch. Until the big opportunity knocked my door, it was a project that I will never forget the founders of it, they know them selves. That project is one of the keys that started the photography me. So I stole my dads Canon Powershot Pro1, the 8 mega pixel beast, it’s a semi-semi professional camera; again a dream come true lol. That wasn’t enough I said to my self so I attended a “Crash Course in Photography” which was excellent, I understood how the camera works, how to optimally use the camera and its features. After six months of hard work, dad finally realized that I’m fit to upgrade to the DSLR world, and bought the Canon EOS 30D; now that! I mean THAT is a Dream that comes true!!! looool, using a single lens reflex camera is truly on of the most amazing thing about photography, just the sound of the shutter was enough to make my day, it was hard to move from an Compact Digital camera with LCD view finder to an DSLR with wysiwyg (what you see is what u get) viewfinder, but getting over this problem wasn’t a big deal. During summer 2006, I took another course in photography, but this time it is a specialized in photojournalism, it’s an 8 weeks online course. And during this course, I also worked in Al-Bayan Newspaper agency. On august the 14th, I participated in the Dubai Summer Surprises Photography Exhibition. U should’ve been there, seeing my photos hanging there just made me feel proud and made dad and mom proud too! I was also interview that day! It was one hell of a party. Today, I’m an official photographer of my college, and I also started my part time job with Emirates Today and Emarat al youm Newspapers.
There are some people I really want to thank them for their support; I don’t want to say their names because I’m afraid that I’ll forget some hehe.
And that’s a little brief story of me :D
