Yvonne Maria Schaefer is an actress and a film producer currently living in New York City. She was born and raised in Frankfurt Main Germany. As a child she began her career as a model and actress and studied ballet, while also acting in theatre productions. Later on she worked internationally. In the 1990's meanwhile studying at the Goethe University in Frankfurt / Germany, Yvonne Maria Schaefer focused more intently on her acting career and studied drama. She worked in numerous Films, TV Series and plays. She also sang background vocals for various bands including Joe Cocker and Vanessa Mae. Through her passion and participation in extreme sports, the Maxim Lifestyle Magazine voted Yvonne Maria as the "Action Girl".

After living part time in Asia and Spain, she moved in 2008 to New York City and founded the Film Production Company YMC Films. In the States Yvonne Maria Schaefer has been successfully working as both an actress and a producer. She starred in the successful film, Forget Me Not 2009 opposite Peter Greene, ( Pulp Fiction, The Mask ). Yvonne Maria Schaefer has a notable scene with David Proval ( Smokin' Aces, Miss Congeniality 2) in the film Lily of the Feast 2015, directed by Federico Castelluccio ( The Sopranos, The Pink Panther 2 ), starring Paul Sorvino, ( GoodFellas ) and Troy Garity (Gangster Squad)

Yvonne played an Arabic mother and wife of a strict Moslem Diplomat, in the comedy TV Pilot Man of the House directed by Christopher Backus with Mira Sorvino and Fergie.

In 2012 Yvonne Maria Schaefer had the female lead in the highly lauded festival film Checkmate, Keep Your Enemies Closer 2013 and played alongside Manny Perez ( La Soga, The Ministers) and William Sadler,( The Green Mile, The Shawshank Redemption). Checkmate, Keep Your Enemies Closer premiered, at the Albuquerque Film and Media Experience, supported by Robert Redford. She worked with Mel Gorham (Carlito's Way, Smoke) in the film APT.5K. Yvonne Maria is the co-producer and one of the stars for the psychological thriller, The Child 2012, an adaptation of the bestselling novel by Sebastian Fitzek. The cast includes, Eric Roberts (The Dark Knight) Sunny Mabrey and Ben Becker, among others. In this film Yvonne Maria plays the role of Sophie Stern, Eric Roberts's characters ex-wife. The Film was released theatrically in October 2012. She also can be seen starring in the Texas film production Voodoo 2015 , Happy Birthday (2015) and in the film Mi Hijo 2015, directed by John Hoyt.

In addition to her New York film production company YMC Films, Yvonne founded in 2012 a second company in Frankfurt, YMC Entertainment, focusing on film production

and music. Yvonne Maria Schaefer has become the face of SURI FREY Company in 2014.

City. Sie wurde in Frankfurt am Main geboren und wuchs dort auf. Ihre Karriere als Schauspielerin und Model begann sie schon als Kind. Yvonne spielte eine arabische Mutter und Frau eines moslemischen Diplomaten, in dem Komödien Pilotfilm Man of the House mit Mira Sorvino und Fergie.

Zusätzlich zu ihrer New Yorker Film Produktion Firma YMC Films, gründete Yvonne in 2012 eine zweite Produktionsfirma in Frankfurt, YMC Entertainment GmbH. Seit 2014 ist Yvonne Maria Schäfer auch das Gesicht des neuen Fashion Labels SURI FREY.
