I live in Bern, Switzerland, mostly drawn to portrait-, travel- and street photography.

This stream is dedicated to my street photography. For this genre I am working with compact cameras to travel light, without attracting attention (Sony RX100M2, Canon Powershot S100 or G7 X). For editing and touch ups I use short espressos, my I7 core MacBook Air 11", Lightroom, Photoshop CC and Nik Filters.

Street photography is a non-formalised genre of photography that features subjects in candid situations ("stolen moments" - I prefer "received") within public places such as streets, parks, malls and other associated settings. It's fascinating me every day and facilitates my perceptional capabilities more and more.

I typically show Images focussing on a particular context, detail, mood (sometimes color) or lighting condition. I try to create images at a decisive or poignant moment, framing and timing are key aspects. Unfortunately I still miss most of the pictures that I use to encounter during my walks, put it's always a great pleasure for me to meet them ...

Talented professional photographers are being put out of business by people who allow the commercial use of images for free. My main source of income is unrelated to photography, but out of principle and respect to those who rely on making money out of art, I cannot let anybody use photographs for free.
