Since 1974, Visual Arts at Harbourfront Centre has been committed to the promotion and exhibition of a broad range of local, national and international contemporary visual art, new media, design, craft and architecture. Works are showcased in 10 traditional and non-traditional exhibition venues throughout York Quay Centre including Artists' Gardens and a new gallery devoted to contemporary architecture.

York Quay Centre is a non profit and non collecting exhibition space. The Visual Arts Department programs six exhibition slots each year through submission proposals and internal directives.
