I was just a casual shooter using Ricoh GR Digital I and III (June 2011, $450). They are small point and shoot cameras attached with fast 28mm equivalent prime lens. I was very happy with it because it easily produces relatively high quality images. It was fun! These images were mainly taken to share photos with my relatives. Nothing serious.

In June 2012, I got Olympus E-P2 paired with Panasonic 20mm f/1.7 at very reasonable price. I got to know how capable the combo is. Since then, I bring the camera everywhere I go. It is joy to shoot.

My main camera is

Panasonic GM1 (Sep. 2014, $450, 204g)

Lenses:

Panasonic Lumix 20 mm f/1.8 (June 2012, $360, 100g)

- This is my main lens because it is very versatile to use. You can close up if you want. You can take larger area like environmental image too. Importantly, the image is very sharp, which I like.

Olympus 45mm f/1.8 (July 2013, $250, 115g)

- I recently got this great lens. It is really fun to shoot, especially for close up portrait!

Panasonic12-32 mm f/3.5- (Sep. 2014, included with body, 70g)

- For wide perspective.

Olympus 14-150 mm (July 2012, $330, 280g)

- only for long perspective because it is heave compared with other lenses.

- easy to record movie.

- handy.

I will use these lens in my travels to Grand Canyon, Yosemite National Park, and Kyoto, Japan.

I used these:

Olympus E-P2 (June 2012, $270, 335g) with electric view finder VF-2 (July 2012, $180)

Panasonic Lumix 14mm f/2.5 (February 2013, $180, 55g)

- This tiny lens is amazingly good wide lens equivalent to 28mm in 35mm format. I like to take family portrait with a lot of background information. Good for my family trip.

- The other advantage is to take architecture photo.

- Replaced with 12-32mm f3.5- for wider perspective.
