In the summer months I always try to visit some of UK's airshows for my fix of military aviation photography, after-burners and of course the old war-time classics such as the Spitfire, Hurricane, Mustang, P40 and the list goes on.
Here in Great Britain our airshow season lasts only 6 months at the most and for the other 6/7 months of the year I try to visit some the air museums UK has to offer, Duxford, Yorkshire Air Museum, RAF Hendon and East fortune are only a selection of such places.
For photography of flying aircraft during the winter months, there's no better place to be than on the perimeter fence of airports taking photos of the commercial workhorses of the skies such as Boeing's 737's, 757's and Airbus' A320 series.
At bigger airports such as Manchester - EGCC and London Heathrow - EGLL the thrill of watching and capturing giants such as Airbus' A380 and Boeing's 747's as they sail over your head at roof-top height is somewhat addictive at the best of times.

Lee excells at aviation photography. He is mad about flying and planes and his passion shows in his work. He also takes great bird shots for the same reason but those are on his other stream. I nice guy and a great photographer :o)
Lee is one of my more recent "discoveries" on Flickr and I wish I'd found him sooner! His photos and comments are both exceptional and he's become one of my first stops every day when I sign on. Well done on all counts, Lee. Please keep 'em coming!
