Struggling semi-pro photographer thats mastered the technicalities but struggling with creativity. Happy to use digital or film and especially happy using my older manual cameras a Mamiya C220 120 roll film medium format from the late 60's and and Olympus OM2n 35mm from the late 70's. Use an E-5 for digital stuff with a 14-54mm &70-300mm (this translates to 28-108 & 140-600 in 35mm 'ese. Also have an adapter ring that means I can use those lovely old zuiko lenses on my digital.

I will not use tools such as photoshop under any circumstances as I prefer to get composition right in camera.

I occasionally use Picasa to do basic adjustments and conversions because I find it easy and instinctive to use and because it cannot change the fundamental composition of a photograph. Photographs by their very nature as recordings of people, places, events and artistic merit I firmly believe the old adage that the camera never lies. Photoshop has turned cameras into liars instead of faithful recorders
