My last news and where I have put most of my energy for the last 2 years now : SimpleDifferent

We work hard to set up this incredibly easy to use website factory, for anybody, without any technical knowledge whatsoever, to rapidely create clever efficient simple websites...

About learning something in Flickr,

► The race to Explore is first a stimulation, I used to be prety good at this, and it soon became a jail.

Explore, the interingstingness kingdom is condemning its subjects to please as many eyes as possible, to create - the most expected surprise possible-, to finally be judged not ny their art but by cynical empty trade of comments and fav...

in the Explore heaven, You may just find yourself climbing as high as you can in the representation of a stereotype and fall far away from who you are as a photographer...

But interestingly enough, setting yourself free from this rat race allows to explore what is your own vision, and also find real friends, your real public.

This a precious thing I have learned, thanks to Flickr.

Photography,

► Technological Exploratory Art, and with Flickr an even more addictive hobby ! Addicted ? Passionated ? Yop yop for sure !

Numbers and brands,

► Now, Nikon D300... • AF 24_85mmƒ2.8-4 is my swiss army knife, • AF 35mmm ƒ 1.8, AF 50mm ƒ1.8, cheap classic wonderful toys, • AF 20mmƒ2.8 my new city google, • manual AIS 85ƒ1.4 and its buddy AIS 105ƒ4 macro are defining new learning curves ...

__ Don't get fool by the hardware_. Most of the pictures you will see here have been shot with a brave and excellent Nikon D70 with a 50mm ƒ1.8 D ( this dirt cheap bargain combination makes an excellent starting when you don't have a penny ) and the first ones in this stream with an aging but courageous and remarkable Nikon 5700...

__ I am also thinking seriously in reanimating my analogic Nikon FE and rebuild a little black and white lab...

__ A couple of hard-working Macs helps me deal with all that...

Meanwhile,

► I am back to Graphic User Interface Design, and prepare a web factory, for anybody to simply make clever Simple sites around the world... You'll hear about it one day ! ;-)

Yorick was one of my flickr friends that I felt compelled to meet in person. I am glad I did. He taught me things about himself which led to learning about myself. Yorick is an outstanding photographer and human being.

Tonton yoyo graced my site with his presence and I was soon humbled after falling head over heels over his photography. This works continue to live long after the shutter sound dies away and his subjects reach out to the viewer through the film. One can taste, smell and really feel the objects - so alive are they. I am absolutely entranced by the richness of Thailand which he so beautifully portrays, always ensuring that its soul lives and breathes through his art. Thank you for enriching us with your craft!

Anyone who is feeling at all cynical about life should visit tonton yoyo's stream. I guarantee that the landscapes will make you appreciate the beauty of the planet, and the portraits will make you smile and feel good about the human race. You will come away thinking "everything's going to be all right after all"… Read more
