The photograph itself doesn't interest me. I want only to capture a minute part of reality.

For the hundreds of photos that we post to capture even the smallest audience in hope that we may inspire people, Baris posts 1. Though that one single photo is so perfect in mood, angle, composition and tones that he does not need 100 photos to keep us all captivated and inspired, comming back for more.

Baris has a quite unique approach to photography and to flickR as well. In his own work he seems always to strive for excellence: though he does not post often, his every picture is not only close to perfect technically speaking, but is also meaningful, wise and inspiring from the emotional point of view… And yet his extreme self-exigency has never prevented him of being indulgent and very generous with the work of his flickR friends and with the comments on his pictures. Thank you for sharing your wonderful work with us, Baris! I hope that you will be delighting us for a long time yet...;-)

There is only one thing more incredible than Baris's photographic skills and that is his generosity to his viewers and fans. There are a lot of photos on Flickr and a lot of 'awards' zinging around. Yet if you look closely, most of these artists can slam a dozen gorgeous pictures up but never once reply to any accolades given them. Not even a cut and paste 'Thanks!' Baris will make mention of each comment personally by using their names. I am a nobody in the photographic world and I have no fancy awards to give him yet he still replies to each of my comments. That is not just a man with an eye to see but also a heart that feels. Thank you Baris. I am proud to say I 'know' you and would hope and pray that one day when I am as good as you I will also be as gracious. ~Damale'
