As a young reporter/photographer I covered many events from automobile crashes to hockey games. Photography was only one part of my job working for weekly newspapers. I wrote the stories, took the photos, developed and printed the photos and then laid out the paper. It was a blast - most of the time.

Now I am semi-retired after working in the electronic side of newspapers at the Calgary Herald for 20 years.

A Christmas gift of a Nikon D5200 6 years ago started me on a new chapter and a renewed love of photography. I enjoy sharing that love of "the art of drawing with light" with others.
