HISTORY OF KELANTAN ISLAMIC FOUNDATION

Kelantan Islamic Foundation was first established on the 1st of July 1974 under the Kelantan Enactment No. 9/1968 (Yayasan Pengajian Tinggi Islam Kelantan) and it was formerly known as the Jabatan Sekolah-Sekolah Agama Kelantan (JASA) having its principal office in Lundang, Kota Bharu, Kelantan.

However on June 1979, it was registered under the Kelantan Enactment No. 5/1979 as the Yayasan Pelajaran Islam Kelantan (YPINK). However the same was again renamed as the Yayasan Islam Kelantan (YIK) on the 1st of March 1983 as per the Kelantan Enactment No. 8/1982.
