I'm a 40 years old journalist and freelance writer living in Israel. My corporal presence is in the sleeping town of Petah Tikva, but my spirit is generally elsewhere. I've a BA in classical studies and history, and was on my way to an MA in medieval history when it dawned on me , admittedly rather late, that this is not much of a marketable skill. Since journalism is the handmaiden of history, and may sometimes actually be profitable, I turned my attention to it.
