The Yew Tree bakery is a very small place in a small town lost on the way to Connemara, Ireland. There are fantastic photo opportunities around here in this beautiful country.

Our bakery is on the Main street, Oughterard, Co.Galway.

Everything is made by hand with the best ingredients we can find - very good unbleeched french flour, fresh organic fruits for the cakes, wonderful irish butter, free range eggs. For the chocolate cakes, brownies and pastries we use only 70% chocolate which makes such a great difference! If you bake you would know what I mean.

We have more than100 different kinds of bread. And we are always working on new recipes. it is fun to have a bakery but it is a very hard work as well. Work starts at 3am or 3.30am when we are lucky.

We are 3 people all together baking bread and pastry - Annie, Eric and Helena.

And I think we love every minute of it...
