I am a mother, sister, wife, editor, poet, writer, and bookworm with a camera phone and a little point-and-shoot.

My dream is to someday own a for-real camera and someday take for-real, grown-up photos. (Note: grown-up, as in "knows what she's doing," not grown-up as in "adult")

I love taking pictures of my own strange, boring, unique, average, and sometimes gorgeous backyard--which I count as any of the so-called "flyover" states. Not just because this is where I grew up and still live, but because they pretty much describe me: somewhere in the middle.
