Yuri Bittar is a photographer, designer, and historian. He has been active in photography since 1998, working professionally for magazines, newspapers, and events. Since 2007, he has focused primarily on street photography and teaching, developing a perspective centered on urban daily life and the human experience within cities. Since 2012, he has researched and practiced Contemplative Photography—a field in which he is considered a pioneer in Brazil and the subject of his doctoral thesis, *Contemplative Photography in the Laboratory of the Gaze: Image, Experience, and Memory*. His photographs have been published in outlets such as *O Estado de S. Paulo* and *CartaCapital* and have been featured in both solo and group exhibitions. Holding a PhD in Health Sciences from UNIFESP, he is a researcher at the Center for the History and Philosophy of Health Sciences (CeHFi-UNIFESP), where he investigates the relationships between image, experience, memory, and perception. In his photographic work, he seeks to reveal the beauty and uniqueness found in the ordinary moments of everyday life.

Yuri Bittar é fotógrafo, designer e historiador. Atua com fotografia desde 1998, tendo trabalhado profissionalmente em revistas, jornais e eventos. A partir de 2007 passou a dedicar-se principalmente à fotografia de rua e ao ensino da fotografia, desenvolvendo um olhar voltado para o cotidiano urbano e para a experiência humana nas cidades. Desde 2012 pesquisa e pratica a Fotografia Contemplativa, área na qual é considerado um dos pioneiros no Brasil e sobre a qual desenvolveu sua tese de doutorado, A fotografia contemplativa no laboratório do olhar: imagem, experiência e memória. Suas fotografias foram publicadas em veículos como O Estado de S. Paulo e CartaCapital, além de integrarem exposições individuais e coletivas. Doutor em Ciências da Saúde pela UNIFESP, é pesquisador do Centro de História e Filosofia das Ciências da Saúde (CeHFi-UNIFESP), onde investiga as relações entre imagem, experiência, memória e percepção. Em seu trabalho fotográfico, busca revelar a beleza e a singularidade presentes nos instantes comuns da vida cotidiana.
