I have been designing clothes and sewing for more than 20 years. I started making clothes for my dolls around 8 years of age and haven't stopped. When my daughter was born, I started making special outfits that were standout and different and that represented my own personal style. Yayadesigns.com was born after receiving many requests to make special outfits for others. The name ya-ya comes from my best friend. Her nickname in Mandarin is ya-ya, which means little girl. I thought the name was fitting as my clothing line grew out of making clothes for my own little girl.

My clothes have been published in books and several Stampington & Company publications.

I am really into birds right now. I gain alot of my inspiration from children's book illustrators. Some of my current fave's: Maira Kalman, AnnaLaura Cantone, Claire Mackie, Henrik Drescher, Lane Smith, Sara Fanelli. I love to look at the other artists flickr. It is so amazing how there are so many talented people in the world!
