Yan’s photography has a lot to do with creativity. And art too. I used to say him that he always presents me with an alternative vision of the world. His photos are not obvious so they may require an extra moment to analyse them. And in that extra moment he often makes you think about something that is not necessarily present in the picture. And I find that the most rewarding aspect of scattering a photo from him. As he wrote once, "the human interaction is essential". And it really is. Even when there’s no real human presence in his photo – which happens rarely – there is always a connection to that alternative side of humanity.

I've only just discovered Yanseiler's stream -- it's moving, it's honest, and the colours and documentary element are incredible . . . amazing stuff.
