Don't bother me... I'm wasting potential. Proud underacheiver. I'm a sophomore, but everyone still calls me freshy... I have an actual camera, but I really don't know where it is half the time, so most of my pictures are taken with the crappy little camera on my celly! :D Probably the most random photostream you'll ever see.
Freshman Year....
Pinecones hung from the ceiling, blowing, dancing and twirling from the single thread holding them up. You can only wonder what would happen if one fell... You sit there, head resting in your hands, staring at the hanging pinecones, attemping to make one of the drop with your mind. You look up at them blowing and swaying with the fan, and you simply have to wonder..... What exactly are these cinnamon-scented pinecones doing hanging from the ceiling of your algebra class?
How do you decide that you hate a movie? Is it when the actors annoy you? The plot is lame? Well not me. I decided that I hated west side story only when my seminar teacher (who is also my math teacher) decided it was a good idea to play West Side Story music while I'm trying to study for my math final exams. You see, West Side Story is our school's current musical and my teacher was supposedly coreographing it. (I'm not involved of course, I got better things to do, and I seriously can't sing soprano, and I'm too busy with "probowling") so anyway, its annoying the crap out of me, and what does he do? HE PLAYS IT LOUDER AND AGAIN! I sat there hoping a hanging pinecone would fall on him. And to think I had the highest grade in that class... 101% with extra credit...but I'm not a nerd. Nerds study. Studying isn't cool. I'm too cool for studying. Even final exams. Here's a brain teaser.... Do nerds do good in musicals and do nerds make good bowlers? The answers are yes and no. Theres an overabundance of semi-nerdy people in the dreaded West Side Story, they don't suck either... But nerds do NOT make good bowlers! Not at all, son. I have tested this hypothesis many a time at my local bowling alley and I have come up with Karkar's Law, which states that the nerdier you are, the worse of a bowler you are. Sure, you can get better as a nerdy bowler but the journey will be tough. I'm not by any means saying it can't be done... it's just very hard. If you are a middle school or high school nerd, you likely are not a great bowler. There are a few exceptions. Adults, however, do not apply. My mother, for example, was one of the biggest nerds ever. Her lowest grade, or so is claimed, was a B. She can kick my ass, but she was a bowler. Me on the other hand, never study, and my grades range from an A all the way down to a C.
