Drag to set position!
Chris Weiss is a 22-year old portrait and live concert photographer based in St. Louis, Missouri.
Upon picking up his first digital camera in 2007, Chris became enthralled with photography and found himself heading out daily to capture the history behind abandoned and derelict buildings. As his passion for photography continued to develop, so did his interests in it. In 2008, Chris received his first photo-pass to photograph the inaugural, live Spring Fever Concert at The Chaifetz Arena in St. Louis, Missouri with performing guests including The Starting Line, Jo Dee Messina, and Tyler Hilton. Upon finding his love for photography and music easily melded into one, he instantly became addicted to the fast-paced concert photography lifestyle and has since captured live shows including Warped Tour, Rockstar Mayhem Festival, Jack's Mannequin, and Rise Against among others.
Fast forward one year. Chris' enthusiasm for photography had sky-rocketed, beginning to delve into both portrait and studio photography. Though his passion for the fast-paced environment of concert photography often kept him on his toes, he found an additional interest in capturing the personalities of people and getting to know them on an individual level with their own life stories.
Now 2010, Chris is continuing to endeavor in furthering his creative talents in studio, portrait, and on-location work. His additiction to manipulating and controlling lighting is ever on the rise in an attempt to produce photos both aesthetically pleasing and nuanced.
In his spare time, Chris enjoys watching independent films, drinking Route 44 cherry-limeades, and talking about himself in the 3rd person.
Photography is a journey of learning, just like life, and I will do anything to attain better skills and a great eye.
