I've taken photography a lot more seriously since the year 2000. Before then, I 'snapped' away like anyone else. But I'd started to become interested in Stone Circles and other megalithic sites, and wanted a bit more from the images I made than just 'snaps'.

I've started to find my own style and become a lot more generally satisfied with the images I make over the past 2 years, though that isn't to say I am ever 100% happy. Making more use of digital over the past 12 months has helped me to define my ideas more easily. Despite this, at this point in time, I think that my best images have mostly been shot with film.

If you look at my photo stream, and some of my sets, you will catch a glimpse of the different creative things that are going through my mind from time to time. Many of them are a work in progress, and very far from the slick, somewhat over-produced stock-photography-like clichés that sometimes seem to over-populate flickr.

Around here, you will also find numerous examples of the work I submitted towards a HNC and HND in photography, including the final project that was exhibited in Manchester in summer 2006. This project looked at the storage of Nuclear waste in Lancashire, at a time when the long-term future storage options were being examined by the government, and also at the time that Tony Blair decided to build new nuclear power stations. This may well turn out to be a long-term project.

There are loads and loads of negatives that I have yet to scan and put up here. I have a lot of ideas to pursue, and I'm looking forward to sharing them on Flickr. Any comments you can leave are much appreciated - add me as a contact and I will reciprocate.
