what makes the difference between a standard photographer and a successful one is a soul that expresses emotion. seeing the world through the camera lens requires artistic sensibility, a taste for beauty, a sense of harmony, knowing how to play with light and shadow, being able to tell a story with an image. all of this is expressed in neil’s artistic compositions. i appreciate that neil is always there with those supportive comments and a laugh when you need it! when i look at his pictures i feel in touch with his universe, i am thrilled by his expressions, i travel through mysterious places in which i live strong emotions, when i click on his stream. it is a great joy to have found him on flickr and to know how one can communicate through the language of photography.

xollob, Neil is a natural photographer. He has a keen eye and a natural ability to frame a photo to it's best advantage. He is also the king of HDR, in my humble opinion...I love his buildings and sculptures. And, they just keep getting better ! Was I shocked to find out he hadn't been taking photos long...I didn't believe him at first. lol I first saw the work of xollob58, way back in May of 2007? I saw his helpful comments and questions at the New & Learning Group, when I was just starting on Flickr. I knew nothing about photography, except that I liked to take photos. He was always helpful, and what he knew about photography he shared. He is still like that. Now, Neil is with us at FGC...I am very happy to have him as part of the club. He is great at starting discussions and keeping them going. I love to read his comments and sometimes wry humor on the photos of other club members and my own. He has a great sense of humor. Keep up the wonderful work you are doing, my friend. I enjoy your photos very much. I look forward to seeing what ever you are sharing with us each day.
