I am an amateur photographer who also loves to write poetry and I remain addicted to the open mic.

In addition to taking pictures of almost anything, the other avocation that gives me a great deal of pleasure is writing, in almost every genre. I believe strongly in giving back and have served on the Board of the Stroll of Poets, a local group I read aloud with regularly. I had the privilege of editing their anthology, plus another for a different non-profit group.

I use a pseudonym or my initials to prevent a knee-jerk gender reaction to any of my work - it might seem silly, but it's proven wise more times than I like to remember...
