xjyxjy introduced me to the flickr site almost a year ago. I really appreciate finding out about the web-site and now using it myself. Like he does I enjoy sharing pictures with others, sharing experience and ideas with people from all over the world that I had never met before. I find it very inspiring to look at so many artistic creative innovative pictures. Studying these make me feel more free to develop my own photography. In my profession as a librarian I find that I can use ideas from Flickr too, this was very good for me to find out. Using images to fight against oppression and violation of human rights is another great idea! Like Xjyxjy I´m interested in politics and especially in international issues. Xjyxjy is my friend and we often meet to go for walks and take pics together. I love the way he always brings his camera and saves moments, lights, how he´s developed an eye for the beauty in everyday life. I understand his wish to share he relations in his life with the visitors on this web-site. However I find this disrespectful myself and I think the women in his life would resent it if they had a chance to object. Being one of them I know how bad it feels and he knows about my feelings. I also know he is a good man and I don´t think he does this our of any wish to hurt but that is the effect.. I know that xjyxjy has a great interest in politics and lots of experience. He has interesting pictures from his political life that have a public interest and I hope he will realize that by doing so he will get more respect and interest for all his pictures. Pictures of human beings are not just images, they represent these people and the way they are presented convey a message! Showing images of people on a public web-site must be done with respect. I think deep inside Xjyxjy knows this too.
