My name is Mirjam Hoogeveen, and I live together with my husband and son at the Danish countryside. A lot of the photos I take are often made in the forests or on the beaches of Nord Sjælland, whilst walking the dog or just wandering with my husband.The fields around our house and the nearby lake Esrum Sø are also favorite places.

What I like most are landscapes and nature, in all their aspects. I try to keep my photos as simple as possible, with often focus on a nice composition of patterns, lines or colours.

I got my first camera when I was 12, but it was not the biggest succes. But ten years later I met my husband, photography enthusiastic. He simply got me infected and taught me really a lot (he still does actually..). Anyway. I bought a tiny little Minox 35GT, and used that one (with ups and downs) untill I got my first digital camera, a Sony DSC-W40. This year I switched to an other little compact, a Panasonic Lumix TZ5. Much better photoquality and it has an all purpose and very good zoomlens. And again a very handy little thing, because I just still do not want to carry around with a 'big' one (no offence!).
