We tend to get stuck in our thinking that a language is words written on a page, or words spoken by an individual. But really what is language but communication of ideas, information, and emotion. We can consider music as a language because it has the trappings of a traditional language. It is heard with our ears, and has a written form that can communicate not with words or letters, but with notes. Still using phrases and sentence structure of a sort. But if language is communication of ideas, information, and emotion, segregation of language to our auditory senses denies our other senses of their input to our brain, and restricts our ability to receive ideas, information, and emotion. A photograph gives input to our brain with a language of sight, instead of sound. Language isn't just marks in a sheet of paper; it is the transference of knowledge. This can happen through any of our senses. And photography is another form for visually transferring knowledge from one to another.
I'm just a young person from a small town pursuing a dream. It happens everyday, and I'm nothing special. But I thank you for taking the time to read this and look at my photostream.
