His knowledge of photography is enriching... He's making my equipment wish list grow day by day! He is a man of details and that shows not only on the tiny pieces of life of which we get little glimpses of on his stream, but also on the comments he makes, which are always insightful, well thought, and incredibly eloquent. I am so proud that I have been given the chance of having George as a wonderful friend and contact on flickr. His work is magnificent with such sensitivity and appreciation for life and all it's simple things. I have consulted George numerous times for advice and constructive criticism, and he has always been very kind and helpful. I truly admire how George has a way of photographing what is inside him. I believe his photography is a full expression of how he feels about what is being photographed in the deepest sense, and is, a true expression of what he feels about life in its entirety. His photostream contains a collective memory of his world and they move me to feel, think and dream. Within his photographs, appears a quality, beauty and style that makes his work well known and undescribeably unique. His style is so recognizeable. George has mastered the use of composition, light and shadows along with love, sensitivity, and purely coming to life through his most excellent eye, creative mind and pure talent. I was thinking of this testimonial for a while. George is a very good friend so I don't take the words lightly. One or the reasons I started to observe his work was the elegance that emanates from so many images that George creates. We both photograph in different ways but we have the respect and understanding for each other. We may not always agree but I value his opinion immensely. By watching him, I'm hoping to learn simple but so classy composition and George is true Master of this craft. His still lifes are not just pictures, but portraits of a state of mind as much as of the objects it reveals. I most admire his self-portraits. They display his knowledge of light and composition, and the psychology involved in creating an image that shows the character and personality of the individual, in this case, himself. I am very happy to be his friend and student because learning from him will take my own work to a higher level.
