My name is Xavier; I am a life/figure model from Michigan. I have created this account on somewhat of an "emergency basis," mainly for friends who are artists. Since the coronavirus has robbed us all of our always-so-awesome figure drawing sessions, I have put together some photos that may be useful as references should anyone need one.

I am not very proficient with technology in general, so I am learning Flickr as I am uploading these references. The Photostream looks like a giant conveyer belt, but everything is more orderly put under "Albums." For the more courageous ones, there is also the OF: onlyfans.com/saverioinmi

Many photos have "story" behind them, but I just did not have the time now to add the accurate descriptions. I did want to at least credit the photographers where the credit is due. (And you should too if you use our photos! :)

If anyone needs a pose that is not here, I still take references for people and send them out. The best way to do it is by taking the photo of the art-dummy in the pose that is needed or a photo of the drawing of the stick figure in the pose and sending me the picture. I do have personal FB and check the "spam" folder as well, so that is another easy way to send a message. Both addresses are in the info below. I do not normally "friend" people I had no interaction with, though.

Some pictures are of better quality than others, depending on if they were just references shot with a cellphone in a drawing studio or if they were shot as a photography project with professional equipment. This Flickr only allows for 1000 pictures to be uploaded; if I start approaching that, I will just start replacing some of the existing photos, especially the ones of lesser quality.

I was suggested to sign up/create something called "Venmo"; if you find this resource helpful and are able to contribute through it any donation then I certainly hope you consider doing so (just ask for the link).

A little about me: I have wanted to draw/paint for a long time, but unfortunately, that has not worked out very well as I lack--among other things--patience, which is also the quality I so admire in artists. I am happy to partake in the second-best thing: being a part of the art journey of others. I have B.A. in Communications, M.A. in philosophy and M.A. in art history; many of the poses reflect my ambition to recreate or give personal expression to something I saw/read about and admired, other times I try to give expression to a work of art such as poem, song or even the state of mind. I take great pride in what I do and of the contribution to the arts which life modeling provides. On a theoretical level, I contest the expression "nude model" and advocate for the more accurate "figure" or "life model," since we do more than just take off our clothes, as I hope this collection will show as well. One cannot learn how to render drapery without knowing the figure.

I am a member of the Naturist Society Foundation (NSF) as well as AANR; I believe that naturism helps to build confidence; it teaches how to be comfortable in one's own skin and how to look at others in a non-sexual way; it promotes personal freedom and body-positivity in the otherwise body-shaming world.

Of course, it always feels great when we find out that what we do has merit, so if someone uses any of the photos here, I would love to see the drawing, painting, sketch or even a small exercise that came out of it; they can be sent to that same email address. I love seeing artists' works regardless of skill level. I have this mindset that someone learns how to render this or that "on me," so to speak, and that is always the source of great satisfaction.

Many Thanks. Xavier.
